Marla E. Wall, Executive Pastor and Founder
Marla is a leader, speaker, writer, and anointed Bible teacher ordained by God “to preach the good news…bind up the brokenhearted, proclaim freedom…comfort all who mourn….”
Experiencing emotional brokenness, divorce and raising two daughters alone, Marla understands the extensive wounds that can be suffered while facing life’s many challenges and the difficulties with moving forward. The Word of God brought healing and restoration to her soul, and an abundance in her life that she knows she would not have experienced without God’s Presence and Grace in her life. This is the spring from which her ministry and authority flows.
Marla has gained over 25 years of experience in administration and leadership. Most recently, she served as executive assistant for the Pastoral Leadership team at New Life Fellowship for 9 years, where she supervised the ministry assistant and various volunteer groups, and successfully led implementation of the children’s summer camp and church café. In addition, through her employment at the University of Rochester, Marla has received training in Restorative Practices, and has served on various committees such the public safety advising committee and the human resources work group committee. She currently assists the director in diversity management efforts. Marla’s volunteer contributions include serving as a worship leader, prayer leader, conference facilitator, interim director of dramatic arts, pre-marital coach with her husband, Scotty, teacher and as an ordained minister. In 2014, Marla was featured in Rochester Woman Magazine for her work in Healing Springs.
Through her willingness to love and serve people, God provides opportunities for Marla to teach, encourage, edify and equip women, men and youth with practical, life-transforming principles to experience emotional, social, and spiritual healing, and maintain abundant living.
Marla and Scotty have been married for over 15 years and lead BetterTogether, our pre-marital and marriage coaching services, which focuses on strengthening and building healthy marriages.
Marla and Scotty are also the proud parents of five adult and two younger children, and have seven beautiful grandchildren!
She has a dedicated team of women and men from various church fellowships in the Rochester Community who are committed to advancing Healing Springs, Inc. into all that God has called the ministry to be.
